The excitement is almost visible as the school prepares to host its annual Homecoming celebration, and this year’s planning is nothing short of remarkable! Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our Student Council, the entire school is in high spirits as they look forward to a week of exciting activities that will conclude with the big Homecoming football game and dance!
As Homecoming approaches, the school has begun its customary Spirit Week, with fun and entertaining dress-up themes for each day of the week! Here is a look at the exciting week upon us.
Monday – students will dress like a tourist with Hawaiian shirts and fanny packs and “tour the pond!”
Tuesday – students will prove twinning is winning by grabbing a friend and matching outfits, leaving everyone seeing double!
Wednesday – students will dress like a BBQ dad or soccer mom and grill the dogs!
Thursday – students will outshine the competition with their brightest neon colors and be brighter than the Bulldogs!
Friday – the school will be awash in blue as students unite to support their home team on the eve of the Homecoming game!
Spirit Week gives students a taste of the excitement to come, but it’s the Student Council’s organized planning that promises to make Homecoming a night to remember. Our amazing Student Council has been hard at work, selling tickets during lunch and beginning to decorate in the days to come.
“We have been really busy making sure everything runs smoothly up until the dance starts,” Student Body President Savannah Jones said. “Our goal is to really just create a fun environment where the students can enjoy themselves and have fun.”
As preparations for Homecoming reach their peak, the school is gearing up for a spectacular event. The school’s community as a whole has been working actively on the different aspects of the dance to create a memorable experience for everyone who attends. So get ready to dance the night away and make memories you’ll never forget at Homecoming 2023 this Saturday!
