With Christmas right around the corner, it is safe to say that the people of Mont Belvieu are more than happy to start celebrating by joining together to make something beautiful and to share the Christmas spirit with everyone in town. On Sunday, December 7th 2025, Mont Belvieu hosted a Christmas themed parade at 6 pm. The parade took up most of Eagle Drive and shut down around 5:40 PM in preparation for the grand event.
This parade was a great way to collaborate with the hardworking students of Barbers Hill. Band, colorguard, and other clubs were able to make their very own floats to show off across Eagle Drive, spreading the Christmas cheer with other students and parents who decided to come out on the cold but joyful Sunday night. Students could also socialize with friends, family, and other citizens of this beautiful town.
The event lasted about 90 minutes and filled the Hill with laughter and magic. The most magical part of the event is that all of the parade entry fees went straight to the West Chambers County food pantry to help families in need this time of year. Handouts, candy, and other goodies were even given away to bystanders. The forecast showed cold winds hitting the Hill, so many viewers brought blankets and dressed warm–With that being said, the theme this year was Country Christmas, so many viewers were sure to dress accordingly!
Not only was it a great event for the community, but it was also an opportunity for the students who were on the floats, since there were awards that could be earned. Awards such as “ Overall Best Entry “, “Judges Choice”, “Most Unique Design” and many more were given to the most outstanding floats! It was exciting to see the floats and their creators’ hard work get awarded for the months of work and creative liberty getting put into these floats.
This annual event joins the community together to celebrate an important holiday to all. Spending time with family and friends is what the holidays are all about in Mont Belvieu. “I like the parade because it helps me connect with my friends, it makes me feel closer with my community,” says Color Guard member, Mia Galvan. “The parade really helps everyone bond and come together, and it’s a great way to spend the evening.”
In all, this year’s parade was not one to miss. Despite the cold weather, viewers and float riders alike had plenty of time to pick out a perfect spot, get cozy and have fun before the parade. If you were there to see the event, be sure to share your thoughts with us. Next year, we invite you to grab friends, snacks, blankets and head out to witness the next great Mont Belvieu Christmas parade. Happy holidays!
